    Msgr. M. Downey Council 3660

    On February 1, 1953, Msgr. M. Downey Council 3660 was founded in Indianapolis.

Msgr. Downey was ordained on June 5, 1909 and was appointed Pastor of St Catherine’s Parish on June 26, 1917, remaining pastor there until his death on December 28, 1948.

All member meetings will be held at our new build, Downey Home Association – 4071 S Keystone Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227, the next meeting is Monday, July 13th, 2026 at 7pm.

Downey Event Center Grand Opening

Downey Home Association, Inc., dba Downey Event Center, is pleased to announce the grand opening of its facility on

Sunday, July 26th, 2026

12:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Food and beverages will be provided, and all Brother Knights, and families, are invited to visit for an afternoon of fellowship and celebration.

News From The Financial Secretary

 A second mailing for 2026 dues is on its way. If you’ve already paid, thank you. If not, we would appreciate receiving your dues soon so we may keep our records current and continue our charitable work.

In the August Cross and Compass newsletter, we will provide an update on Bingo, including attendance, revenue impact, and plans for the upcoming months. We will also publish a summary of all charitable contributions made during the 2025–2026 fraternal year, highlighting the organizations supported, amounts donated, and the positive difference Council 3660 continues to make in our parish and community.

Next Council Breakfast  — September 2026

Our breakfasts have been a big success and help cover the costs of our charitable outreach. They will start back up in September 2026.

Bingo, Bingo Bingo

Bingo is here! Every Tuesday.

Doors will open at 5:00pm each Tuesday and bingo will begin at 6:00pm.

Our max capacity will be around 50 players.

The hall is designed to cater to a variety of events, from intimate gatherings to events handling up to 75 people.

It is with great pleasure that we announce and introduce your newly assigned Field Agent, Brad Tepp. Brad is a joy to work with—genuine, attentive, and deeply committed to serving Brother Knights and their families. Our team continues to grow, and I am confident you will appreciate Brad’s professionalism and care.

Brad brings a strong background in management within the steel industry, giving him excellent experience in listening, understanding needs, and helping members plan effectively. He is a member of Council 3660 on the south side of Indianapolis and is eager to serve his brother Knights here at home.

As your advisor, Brad’s responsibility is to meet with all members to review fraternal benefits and update your Survivor’s Assistance Program. This is a free service available to every Knight. Beyond insurance and financial matters, Brad offers friendship, guidance, and Brotherhood in the Order.

Building Update

April 2026

Liquor License Update

As of this publication, we’ve been approved by the State and Marion County for a license. We’re now working out the details for purchasing liquor and beer, as well as recruiting volunteer bartenders.

Health Department Update

We are now in compliance with the Board of Health.  The board is reviewing the next steps.
